In July 1998, Spea Ingegneria Europea S.p.A. submitted its Quality Management System to the DNV Certification Body which, on 5 November 1998, certified compliance of the system with the requirements of ISO 9001:1994 as part of the company's core-business (sector EA 34): "Development of studies and transportation plans. Design, work supervision, testing, monitoring and terotecnologia (engineering of planned maintenance) of transportation infrastructuries and building works".

During the second half of 2001 the Company converted the System to the new rules of ISO 9001:2000. During 2004, following the implementation of a System which was dedicated to and perfectly integrated with the "native" system, DNV ratified compliance of all the Environmental Monitoring processes with the reference standard, and issued a certificate for the field of application: "Monitoring og the different environmental components through the survey of environmental indicators with own instrumental systems and data processing by means of information technology and G.I.S. system".

During the first quarter of 2010 the Company converted the System to the new rules of ISO 9001:2008.

The result, which was the outcome of the collective commitment of all the company components, confirms the ability of the company to operate with rationality and reliability and to provide a powerful contribution to the importance of the corporate image in the domestic and international market - especially in consideration of the particular range of the certified services, which place the Company amongst the leading and most qualified firms in the specific sector of engineering services for transport infrastructures.
